In Montgomery, Alabama, the King’s Canvas Gallery and Studio was established by Kevin King in 2018, where he holds the positions of Founder and Executive Director. Relocating to the historic Washington Park neighborhood in 2007, Kevin and his family aimed to collaborate with families and become woven into the fabric of a historically marginalized community to foster its transformation. Their shared commitment revolves around nurturing, serving, and connecting with others to drive transformation and renewal, while simultaneously cultivating leadership within the community. Operating as a creative haven, The King’s Canvas caters to an art community in Montgomery that has remained underserved and unseen. Through artistic expression, they channel efforts towards revitalizing neighborhoods and individuals, encompassing entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and life-skill development.
